Currently, I teach private art classes in various media (1-3 persons at a time - including the homebound). Classes are tailored to the individual's interests and/or project goals and are regularly scheduled on a continuing basis, depending on the student's schedule. The time between classes gives students an opportunity to work - developing a style, coming up with questions or new projects or challenges, and simply practicing.

My Philosophy
My goal as a teacher is to help students achieve their artistic goals in a positive, encouraging environment. I stress the actual process of art-making, leaving the result up to the individual to evaluate. Recently, I've been teaching classes in structured mandala-making, the routine or ritual of which can be therapeutic, as well as producing a beautiful and meaningful result. (A mandala is a circular design embodying wholeness, completeness and unity.) The important thing is the feeling of self-fulfillment and satisfaction derived from the artistic experience.
